What is actually stored

When you answer the banner, a single value is written into the local storage of your browser recording whether you accepted or declined. It contains nothing except that answer. It holds no name, no identifier, no address and nothing that could be linked back to you by anyone, including the person who runs this site.

That value exists so the banner does not appear on every page you open. It never leaves your browser, is not transmitted to the site or to anyone else, and cannot be read by any other website. A site about reading contracts carefully has no business tracking the people who read it, and the small amount of information that anonymous statistics would provide is not worth the cost in trust. The consequence is that visitor numbers here are unknown, which is an acceptable price to pay.

No videos, maps, fonts or images are loaded from third-party services on these pages. Everything you see is served from the same place as the pages themselves. This matters because embedded content from elsewhere is the most common way a site that claims to set no cookies sets a great many of them without intending to.
